With the purchase of our first inspection machine, I dedicated myself to training, and from that day on, I began my journey of specialization in quality control. I feel that I play a key role that is appreciated by the team.
How long have you been working at Guerrini?
I have been working at Guerrini for 13 years, since 2011 when my cousin, who is now also a colleague, told me about a job opportunity.
They were looking for a centrifuge and machine control operator, a position that suited my needs. There is always work to be done in the company, so I learned to be always ready to help my colleagues in their activities by giving my support even in the warehouse or logistics department. I was a sort of all-rounder.
Today, however, you no longer have that position.
After a few months, I started using measuring instruments and, with Giordano’s help, I learned the basics of quality control. The real transition to the quality office was when I started using optical measuring instruments. When we bought the first inspection machine, I dedicated myself to training and from that day on I specialized in quality control.
What do you like the most about your job?
The precision and the responsibility. I like to check the machines and inspect the parts. My job allows the company to detect possible errors in advance. I feel that I play a key role that is appreciated by the working team.
And in your free time, what do you like to do?
My family keeps me very busy; I have two young kids, they are 5 and 8 years old, with whom I like to play and spend time.
I also play cricket. I used to be part of a team and we used to participate in tournaments, but as time went by and we got older, habits changed for everyone and we ended up with fewer and fewer players, until the team split up. However, I still play sometimes, we meet among friends at sports fields for friendly games and to spend time outdoors with each other.
